The Red Sox are clear winners of the Manny/Jason Bay trade.

From distant eyes the Red Sox appeared to be dumping Manny Ramirez late last year. Manny started not running out ground ball and dogging it in the outfield. In an effort to get rid of this kind of cancer the Sox traded Manny to the Dodgers and in return received left fielder Jason Bay. Bay might not be a familiar name he played for the Pirates, he doesn't put up huge numbers and he doesn't run his mouth. All he does is play the game, hard.

If given a full season on a sub par team Bay always batted over .280 hit 30 home runs and drove in 100 RBI's. He also steals bases, plays good defense and runs the bases extremely well, all things Manny did not do. Now he is on a great team with great players around him and he's leading the bigs in RBI's while racking up numerous clutch hits along the way. There is a reason the Sox have won two world series in the past 5 seasons and they are always in contention. One of the reasons is because they get rid of popular players before they become unpopular and unproductive. That's why they are the Sox and your team is golfing in October.
