I love Roy Halladay, but I wouldn't trade for him.

I'm not alone in saying that Roy Halladay is the best pitcher in the bigs. Recently Blue Jays president said that he would listen to offers from teams looking to acquire Halladay. Two teams in the past two days have showed interest, the Chicago White Sox and the Los Angeles Angels. If you're a fan of either team this may be exciting until you see what the Blue Jays want in return:
The Angels would have to give up: Jared Weaver, Brandon Wood, Howie Kendrick and Trevor Reckling.
The White Sox would have to give up: Aaron Poreda, Clayton Richard, Tyler Flowers and Gordon Beckham.
These names aren't universally known yet but they are for Angels and White Sox fans. All of these players are either crown jewels of their teams farm system or are already up in the bigs and are building blocks for the future.
I'm a huge fan of Halladay but I wouldn't mortgage the future for him. I'd wait until 2010 when his contract expires and my building blocks are all stars.
