The American league is coming off of a 13 year winning streak in the all star game. The past 4 games they have won by one run.     Rivera is backed up by the best closer in the game Joe Nathan and the 2nd most clutch closer in the game behind Rivera Johnathon Papelbon. Rivera made his first all star team in 1997 and the AL hasn't lost yet.
