The NFL's experiment in futility.

Is it just me or are there a ton of awful football teams this year. Highlighting this weeks terrible match ups was the Bucs and Panthers that showcased Jake Delhomme throwing two more pics and ending the game with a 42.2 quarterback rating. Not to be outdone the Redskins and Chiefs played a historically pitiful 14-6 game that featured six field goals, one safety and zero touchdowns. Yes there are some great teams out there that are getting a lot of buzz and super bowl talk, but lets take a look at the bottom 10 teams in the league.
10. Carolina Panthers (2-3). The Panthers fearless leader Quarterback Jake Delhomme leads the league in interceptions with eight. The Panthers do still have a great running game with Johnathon Stewart and DeAngelo Williams. The Panthers only two wins this year have come against the Redskins and Buccaneers who are also on this list.
9. Seattle Seahawks (2-4). The Hawks exploded against the Jaguars last week beating them 41-0. This week they lost to the Cardinals and in the process lost two of their better players Patrick Kerney and Lofa Tatupu for the season which will hurt an already depleted team.
8. Oakland Raiders (2-4). You know its a bad list when the worst franchise in sports comes in eighth place. The Raiders have the worst quarterback in the league with Jamarcus Russell. Last week they lost to the Giants 44-7, but they did somehow manage to beat the Eagles who played about as bad as possible on Sunday.
7. Cleveland Browns (1-5). Coached by the Mangenious the Browns are god awful. What was supposed to be a quarterback battle between Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson has become the worst one two punch in the league. The Browns have had a very tough schedule so far, but did manage to pull out a win vs the Bills in a 6-3 barn burner. Now I'm done.
6. Kansas City Chiefs (2-4). The Chiefs only win this year came against the pathetic Redskins. They have lost to almost the entire NFC East and the coup d'état 10-13 failure against the Oakland Raiders. The Chiefs defense gets shredded by any team with an average quarterback.
5. Washington Redskins (2-4). The Redskins could very well be the worst team on the list but I couldn't justify putting them any lower because they have two wins. The Redskins have lost to the Lions, Panthers and Chiefs all of whom are on this list. Their only two wins came against the win-less Rams and Bucs.
4. Detroit Lions (1-5). The Lions are down to Drew Stanton at quarterback while Calvin Johsnon looks on from the sideline. Lions quarterbacks have combined for four touchdowns this year and ten interceptions, while their leading rusher is averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Luckily the Lions have the Rams next week.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-6). This is were the list gets tough. Three teams all terrible all win-less. The Buccaneers resume includes losses to the Redskins and Panthers and were shutout in week three against the Giants. They have the 27th ranked offense and the 29th ranked defense a true sign of balance.
2. Tennessee Titans (0-6). The titans have been outscored by 114 points this year. What makes things even worse they were supposed to compete for a playoff spot this year. They somehow managed to get beat 59-0 by the Patriots yesterday and totaled negative seven passing yards. I didn't even know that was possible, throw a screen. Vince Young also made his 2009 debut yesterday completing zero passes to his own team and one to the Patriots.
1. St. Louis Rams (0-6). Not to be outdone by the Titans the Rams have been outscored by 115 this season. The Rams almost got their first win against the Jaguars on Sunday, but still have a firm hold on worst team in the league. The Rams have been shutout by the Seahawks and 49ers. They have scored the fewest points in the NFL and have allowed the third most.
