5 things we saw in week 7 of the NFL.

1. Carson Palmer is back. His two plus year rehab of his busted knee is finally over Bengals fans. Palmer threw for five touchdowns against the Bears D on Sunday. Granted the Bears D was bad last year and is still bad this year but five TD's is nothing to sneeze at. With Chad Johnson refocused and Cedric Benson pounding the rock it looks like the Bengals O is on track again.
2. The Raiders aren't even trying. Duh I know but this is a professional team we are taking about. Even the Lions last year put up a fight. The real problem is this team doesn't have a leader. It's definitely not the quarterback who is pointing fingers at everyone but him. The problem with that is every time you point your finger there are three more pointing at you.
3. Michael Crabtree has some considerable talent. Through this whole hold out mess and wanting more money some of us forgot that Crabtree was dubbed by many as the most talented player in the draft. He demonstrated this by dragging his feat on the sideline, displaying quick feet and a relatively quick knowledge of the 49ers anemic passing game.
4. The Saints D is solid. Once the weak point of an offensive behemoth the Saints D can now hold its own. I'm not saying that they are the Steelers but they are now solid. Darren Sharper has added veteran leadership and a play making ability that was lacking. Don't forget that the Saints also picked up Johnathan Vilma from the Jets two years back after Mangini basically gave up on him.
5. Jake Delhomme's body has been snatched by aliens. I'm not sure what happened to Delhomme, he still has a great running game and one of the best receivers in the game but he is throwing interceptions like Brett Favre in cold weather. Last year in 414 throws he threw 12 interceptions. This year in he has thrown 13 interceptions with 177 attempts.
