Johnny Damon was last nights hero.

Yankee fans know all to well that Johnny Damon can come up big in the post season. Last nights Game four win was highlighted with big hits by Alex Rodriguez and Jorge Posada as well as a shut down performance by closer Mariano Rivera. To overlook Damon's at bat would be an injustice.
With two outs in the top of the ninth Johnny Damon delivered a single to left field against Phillies quasi closer Brad Lidge. Damon was down in the count and battled to get it 3-2. Lidge has a devastating slider that for some reason he didn't use much with two strikes. Either way Damon fouled off a few balls and got to a count that he knew he would see a fastball.
Damon then proceeded to steal second base. With the shift on for Mark Texiera and for some reason Brad Lidge forgot to cover third, Damon then took third as well. Lidge then plunked Texiera and A Rod hit the ball off the left field wall to score the go ahead run. The next batter Jorge Posada then hit a two run single to give the Yankees a three run lead.
Say what you want about the Yankees but they are professionals. Damon knew the importance of getting on and getting into scoring position for the Yankees two big hitters. The Yankees scored the go ahead run and handed the ball of to the best post season pitcher ever in Mariano Rivera who stepped on the neck of the Phillies. The Yankees are now up 3-1 and are one more big league play away for hanging another banner in the Bronx.
