The Rundown featuring: Tavaris Jackson, Allen Iverson, Tim Lincecum and a NBA referee fixing scandal.

Tavaris Jackson thinks he is still the franchise Quarterback for the Vikings. Asked if he still believes he can be the team's franchise quarterback, Jackson said, "Definitely. You always have to think like that. Honestly, just being real, the way things are going, I didn't know I was going to be here. You never know. But I just try to take advantage of every day I'm here."
Usually when your team brings in a 40 year old Quarterback, who just had two bad seasons, to start ahead of you in the middle of the preseason, it means they have no trust in you, just ask Jamarcus Russell.
Danny Ainge is apparently dead serious about signing Allen Iverson. This should work out real well. AI is the consummate professional teammate just ask his former teammates from the Sixers, Nuggets, Pistons and the Grizzlies. Danny Ainge is bold enough (stupid enough) to pull the desperation trigger on this one. He did just sign Rasheed Wallace, who is twice the player Iverson is now. For my own personal entertainment I would love to see Iverson in Boston.
Lincecum is looking to get $23 million in arbitration. The old record is $10 million that Ryan Howard got in 2008. The crazy thing is Lincecum is worth $23 million (which is the same salary as CC Sabathia). The real crazy thing is the Giants are even letting this get to arbitration. They would save money and their franchise if they just locked him up to a long term deal.
13 NBA referees are alleged to be a part of the Donaghy betting scandal. Not that too many basketball fans are surprised but it is appearing that basketball might be rigged. Jimmy "the sheep" Batista who plead guilty to conspiracy to transmit wagering information in connection to NBA referee Tim Donaghy said he worked with 13 NBA refs. Granted this admission is from a criminal it doesn't take away the fact that Tim Donaghy had a 78% win rate for gamblers over his career.
I really hope this blows up in David Stern's face who said that Donaghy was a rouge. Here is an idea sports commissioners: you see a problem, fix it. Don't just try and sweep it under the rug.
