The Rundown 12-4. All your sports news in two minutes.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson told if he doesn't stop fumbling he will get benched. The Vikings believe that the reason for AP's fumblitis is his lack of concentration. If he isn't concentrating now just imagine how good he could be if he starts trying. By the way there is no way the Vikings will ever bench the Purple Jesus.

Rich Rodriguez compares Michigan's trouble to Hurricane Katrina. The man on the hot seat in Ann Arbor didn't help out his situation with this sound bite:

"It’s really kind of ironic that the New Orleans Saints overcame the hurricane a few years back. I used to live and coach in New Orleans for a couple years, and I know how devastated that city is and how they overcome and rebuild the stadium and rebuild the program.

“And we’ve had a few hurricanes of our own. We had a big hurricane in August, and it kind of hit us like a ton of bricks. But you had 120 young men and a bunch of people on the staff that said this is not going to tear our program apart.

“In fact, it will do just the opposite: Bring us together. This senior class and the underclassmen that are leaders took charge of this football team and said nothing is going to tear this team apart, and nothing did.

“We didn’t end the season the way we wanted, and we didn’t win as many games as everybody would have liked. But don’t tell me this team is a failure. It’s a disappointment because we thought we could have won more and should have won more. But these guys are champions. I am proud of everyone."

This quote will of course be blown way out of proportion. He's obviously not seriously comparing the two, but you have to know that there are a few things you just don't talk about, like 9/11 or Hurricane Katrina.

Rampage Jackson to return to the UFC. Rampage is stepping away from his movie career to come back to the UFC and fight Rashad Evans. He said that he would be coming back to shut Evans and UFC president Dana White's mouth. That or he's looking to cash in.

The Boston Red Sox sign Marco Scutaro. This will prove to be a big pick up for the Sox. Scutaro has been producing in Toronto for the past few years, but nobody has noticed because he's been in Canada. This will also mean that Pedroia can stay at second base.

Oregon going to the Rose Bowl.
January 1st will see Ohio State and Oregon in Pasadena. This after last nights Civil war that saw Oregon come up huge in the fourth quarter. Ohio State must be thrilled that they don't have to go to California and get spanked by USC again. The sad thing is they are gonna go down to California and get beat by Oregon.

Braylon Edwards turns in the drop of the year.

I am impressed with how rookie Quarterback Mark Sanchez handled the dropped touchdown.
